Both the things are going to work and both the things can get you invitation because your 3 months of experience should be completed in the last 12 months.

For example, if you worked in January, February and March 2026, then took a break or did something else, and now the same employer or a different employer is giving you an offer letter on the same NOC code, you have 3 months of experience in the last 12 months. As you are getting the offer letter now and you have 3 months of experience in the last 12 months, you become eligible for Ontario PNP under the graduate stream of 3 months of experience. There can be a gap after getting the appropriate experience, or there may not be a gap.
