This is the topic of today’s very important blog for you. If you want to apply for Canada study visa and we are saying to you that you should go to RCIP communities, whenever we say you should go to RCIP communities, there is some logic behind it. The logic is you are going to get your PR quickly through RCIP. If you are going to RCIP, it activates RCIP PR. The PR option through RCIP gets activated, but there is a small quota in that. There are 300–400 quotas with each community. So, this is not a very big quota. But still, the quota is there. So, it activates the first option of PR. It is RCIP. It is not the strongest option of PR, but the option is there.
Along with that, it activates the second option as well. It is PNP. Every RCIP community comes in some province. If you are studying and working in RCIP communities, usually you get preference in PNP as well. You get more draws, you get more points, your points increase and your draws also increase. You get great benefits of PNP as well. In addition to that, if you are working in RCIP and if you are eligible for Express Entry, then you are going to activate Express Entry as well because ultimately each RCIP community comes under Canada and in Express Entry, wherever you are getting experience in entire Canada, you are activating your Express Entry. So, just by studying and working in RCIP, you are going to activate multiple options. The first option will be RCIP, the second is PNP and the third is Express Entry. That is why we always say that you should go to RCIP communities.
1. Complete Your Study in RCIP
You must complete your study in RCIP. If you get admission there, that is the best option to take and you should complete your study there. This is what we say. After that, people come back and say sometimes when a student reaches there, especially the young kid who is 18 years old, 21 years old, going for bachelors immediately after bachelors or immediately after 12th, these kids, when they reach Canada, without even going to these communities, say that there is no job. They ask their parents and us to change their location. They want to live in Toronto, they want to live in Vancouver, they want to go to urban areas. They want to live in a city kind of setup, not in communities.
They say there is a problem of jobs, even without searching for the job properly, even without trying to settle there, sometimes even without going to these locations. Just because some friend has said something, students say that they do not want to go there. They ask to be changed somewhere else. They want to stay in Toronto and in the metropolitan area. Especially after 12th, you are not going to get enough score in Express Entry, so this is not an option for you. The options are going to be RCIP and PNP. These two options are going to be there. PNP is going to give you preference if you are living, working and studying in RCIP communities. So, to activate PNP also, RCIP community is right. And to activate RCIP, you will have to study and work there.
When Express Entry is not the option and you say that you want to live in Toronto, Brampton, Mississauga, GTA, Surrey or Vancouver, ultimately you are going to suffer because you are not going to get your PR. When students say all those kinds of things, the excuse made behind it is that there is no job. Today, I want to discuss that even if there is no job, still why should you study in RCIP? Parents have to be assured about this. This video is more for parents because ultimately parents go by the kid. Whatever the child says, parents follow that.
2. Why RCIP Is Beneficial Even Without a Job
This blog is for parents and children. Why should you complete your study in RCIP? In this video, it will be made absolutely clear that if you do not work even for one day in RCIP communities, still it is beneficial for you. Even if you do not work for one day, why is it still beneficial for you? Why should you study there? Parents should have this thing clear. If your son does not get a job even for one day, do not worry about it. Your study has to be there, even if we have to make you sit and support you for 16 months because usually the study which is for two years gets completed in 16 months. Whether it is a PG diploma, a master’s degree or a UG diploma, all the study that children go there to complete gets completed in 16 months.
Parents can very easily say that you do not need to worry about it. You will not study anywhere else. Parents have to ensure this, that they should not listen to the children. Why they should not listen will become clear by the end of the video. RCIP is the only option. Plus-two after children who are going to RCIP, RCIP is the only option which is going to get your PR. Why will RCIP also activate? It will also give you the PR option just because you have studied there. One option will be activated just because you studied there.
The second option is that inside PNP, at a lower cutoff, your score increases. The cutoff comes lower and more draws come in these RCIP places. Usually, you get preference in almost all the PNPs if you are working, living and studying in RCIP communities. So, it is very important for PR. Therefore, study has to be done there. Parents have to pay attention that children should not go somewhere else for study. Even if they ask to shift, parents have to say no and should not allow the shift. The children make the excuse that there is no job. What happens if the child does not work even for one day? That will be seen.
3. RCIP Communities and Northern Ontario
The first thing is, which are the RCIP communities? There are 14 communities divided among all the provinces. Two communities are there in Nova Scotia. Then, these communities are in Ontario. There are five communities in Ontario on which we work the most. The most children go to Ontario. Earlier, they used to go into the GTA area of Ontario, around Toronto and around Brampton. Now we are telling those children that they should go to Northern Ontario. There are five communities in Northern Ontario. One is North Bay, Sudbury, Timmins, Sault Ste. Marie and Thunder Bay.
When we talk about rural communities, a perception comes to mind that it will be like a rural area, like villages. It is not like that. The population of these communities is between 40,000 to 1,225,000. So many people are there. It is a very developed area. Its location is just a little away from a metropolitan area. That is it. That is the only difference. Otherwise, everything is there. Walmart is there. Full-fledged infrastructure is there. Jobs are also there. Everything is there. People do proper jobs there. High-level jobs are also there. It may seem that the jobs will only be lower-level jobs, in restaurants and stores, but that is not the case.
Good jobs are also there. Jobs with $100,000 packages are also available. Those jobs are also available. But I am not saying that you will get that exceptional $100,000 job. But you will get enough to cover your expenses and get your PR. You will get that much of a job there. You just have to be determined that you have to stay there, settle there, find a proper job and make connections. That is why the child has to go there with his mind made up.
When the child tells the parents that there will be no job there, that there is nothing there, this is not there and that is not there, there is nothing like that. In whichever community the child has to go, if the child has to go to Sudbury, take out videos and photos and see how the community looks. It is a well-developed area. Everything is there. It is not like the villages here. When we talk about population, how much population do the villages here have? 2,000, 3,000, 5,000. That is the population. Here, the population is 40,000 to 1,225,000. If a community has a population of one lakh, do you think it will be deserted like a village? No, it is not like that.
Look at the pictures and make it clear what is there. Watch the videos and make it clear what is there. Children do not need to be listened to directly like this. Ultimately, if your child’s PR does not happen, you are going to suffer. The money will come back later to extend the stay, and the parents will suffer. The child’s insistence should not be accepted. When I counsel a plus-two child, I make the parents sit together. I say that the parent should know and the child should also know. Both should be on the same page that if the job does not happen even for one day, there is no issue, and why there is no issue is what is being explained.
4. RCIP, PNP and Experience
These communities are Sudbury, Timmins, Sault Ste. Marie and Thunder Bay in Ontario. After that, there are two communities in Manitoba, then three communities, and then there are communities in Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia. These are the communities. There are 14 communities. If a child goes inside these communities to study, as soon as the child completes the study, the child becomes eligible for RCIP. After RCIP, when the child starts taking experience, mostly in places the child also becomes eligible for PNP. Different PNPs demand different experience. In Ontario, three months of experience is required and there is also a six-month experience option. After that, in Saskatchewan somewhere six months of experience is required and somewhere one year is required, depending upon which PNP it is.
The experience requirement can be three months, six months, nine months or 12 months. At maximum, it is 12 months, and minimum it is zero and three months. These are the experience requirements. As soon as the child starts taking experience, the child becomes eligible for PNP as well. If the score does not get made in Express Entry, Express Entry should remain out of the child’s mind. This is also a misconception. If the score is not being made, it will not be made. If you are going after 12th, activate RCIP and along with it activate PNP. These are your options.
If you do not activate these options and sit relying on Express Entry, nothing will happen. You are not going to get the score. The score will not be made. Ultimately, you are going to suffer. So, make your target clear. The target is RCIP and PNP. These are your targets. And when should PNP be taken and how should it be taken? It should be taken through RCIP itself. It should be taken by working in the same community because it will improve your score and improve your chances of getting PNP. So, it has to be taken from there.
5. What If There Is No Job?
Now coming to the point on which children say that they do not want to go to RCIP. They do not want to go to rural communities because there is no work, there are no people, this is not there and that is not there. If a community has a population of one lakh, you cannot say that there are no people. All this is nonsense. Someone’s friend has said it and misled them. Because you do not know, basically you are being cut here and ultimately what will be the loss is what will be explained.
There can be three scenarios of a job. The first scenario can be an extreme scenario, where a job is available like in a normal urban area. The child earns $500 to $1,800 per month and gets that kind of job. The child earns $500 to $1,800. One extreme is that the child is earning good money and has a good job. Out of that, $800 will be spent and $800 will be saved. This will be the expense and the child will save this much. There will be good savings, and next year’s fee will almost be taken out by the child himself. This is one kind of scenario.
The second scenario is that a very good job is not obtained. What job is obtained? An $800 job. The child gets a job of $800 per month. The child earns this much and spends $800, so the saving is zero. This becomes zero saving. The third possibility is that the child earns zero. There is no income, but the expense is $800 every month. There will be no saving because the expense itself is more than the income. Zero. No money is being earned. Zero. $800 is the average amount.
Inside every community, the child’s expenses should be covered within this amount. If a child does not live a lavish lifestyle and stays in sharing, the rent should be within $350–$400. In addition to that, all the other expenses, food and drink, $250 for food, Wi-Fi and everything else, can be covered comfortably within $800. So, there are three scenarios. In this scenario, the child will not have a problem. If this kind of job is obtained, parents should already tell the child that whether the child gets a job of $1,500 to $1,800, whether the child gets an $800 job or whether the child earns zero, in every case the child has to stay there.
Parents have to send the child by saying this. What is the loss for the parent in this case? If the child does not get the $1,500 to $1,800 job, does not earn that much, does not even get the $800 job and earns zero, then what is the parent’s loss? The study is for 16 months. As soon as the child completes 16 months of study, the child becomes eligible for RCIP. In completing 16 months of study, how much money does the child need every month? If we multiply 16 by $800, the expense is $800 every month. The child has spent $800. If the child earns zero and takes $800 every month from you, for 16 months, there is an additional expense.
6. The Financial Difference for Parents
Should you make this expense? Yes, you should. Why should you make it? The next year’s fee will also have to be paid by you. If the two-year fee was $35,000 and you spent $3,000 on the child’s living, then $3,000 has become an additional expense. The total has become $48,000. The $35,000 had to be spent anyway because that was the study fee. Whether the child earned or did not earn, that had to be spent. The additional expense over the study is the child’s $3,000 living expense, so the course which was to be studied for $35,000 became $48,000.
I have taken the extreme scenario and accepted exactly what the child is saying, that there is zero work. The child is saying that there is zero work. Even then, how much extra expense does the parent have? $3,000. This is the expense within 16 months. At $800, the extra expense becomes $3,000. Parents have to say, “I am ready to spend. You do not take my tension. You study there. You will study there, stay there, work there and then get PR from there. After that, you will leave.” This has to be told to the child beforehand. Especially children who go after plus two to do a diploma or bachelor should have clear-cut instructions that they will not leave the RCIP community.
The child should study there. If the child wants to go somewhere else, then the study will not be done. Otherwise, the parent will not send the child. The money is being spent by the parents. The parents will suffer and will be troubled. It is their child, so they cannot leave the child. If the child troubles them later, the parents will have to suffer.
7. Problems After Moving to Toronto or Surrey
Suppose you accepted the child’s request and took the child out of the RCIP community, or the child said it from the beginning, and you told the child to go to Toronto where it feels right. The child studies in Toronto or Surrey. If the child studies in Toronto, the child completes the study, studies for 16 months and after that gets a three-year PG work permit. What is the problem with this? Ninety percent of the children who go after 12th have this problem. Their profile is not very strong. They have done their studies from normal good places. Some from Vancouver, some from Surrey, some from Toronto and the entire GTA area, some from Ottawa and some from Victoria. Everyone has studied in good places.
This is where it is enjoyable to live. Why do children go? They want freedom and enjoyment. For enjoyment, children choose where their friend is, where someone is known, where there is a brother, uncle or another known person, and they study there. What problem happens because of this? When the child studies somewhere else and does not study in an RCIP community, after that, when it comes to PR, the child is told to go to an RCIP community. There are two major problems.
The first problem is that when the child is told to move from Vancouver to an RCIP community or from Toronto to an RCIP community, the child’s hands and feet start shaking. A 20-year-old or 21-year-old child, you understand how mature the child is to take such a step. The child who is working keeps working. When the child is told to move, the child does not move. The child cannot do it. The courage is not there because the child came there 16 months earlier after leaving that place. The child had refused it. How can the child go there now? The child had come to Toronto to chill and enjoy.
The child came to Brampton. What has happened suddenly in 16 months that the child has become so mature that now the child will understand what the parents are saying? In 16 months, the child starts looking for other options. The child thinks that PNP can be taken or Express Entry can be taken. But the Express Entry score will not be made. The score will be nothing less than 400 in Express Entry. This is not for you. Then people think that PNP can be taken. In PNP, a support letter is required and the score has to be made. Your score will not be made in PNP. If you are in Ontario or British Columbia, PNP cannot be taken. Leave it. Forget it.
The situation is such that the number of invitations British Columbia gives is almost nothing, only nominal invitations. Look at what things invitations are coming for. In the priority stream, what is the cutoff? 123, 125. These are such cutoffs that people cannot reach them. Plus-two children cannot reach them anyway. In Ontario also, if a normal child is working in the Toronto area, even if two employers are supporting the child, the score will still be below 75. The cutoff usually goes above 80.
The draws are also fewer in this area. GTA draws are also fewer and the cutoff also remains high. There are problems in every way and the score becomes low there. So, if a plus-two child gets stuck in this scenario, RCIP is not being activated, PNP is not being activated and Express Entry is not being activated. How will PR happen? These are the same children who make noise that their PR is not happening. These are the children whose PR is actually not happening because the child had insisted on studying in such a place.
8. Young Profiles and PR
People whose age is 30, 35, 32 or 38 are taking PR. We are filing their files. They are taking PR. These young cases and young profiles should actually be better, but because they do not have experience outside Canada and do not have very good experience in Canada either, these people suffer the most. It seems that young applicants have a benefit, but there is not that much benefit. Who has the benefit? Someone who has already done a bachelor’s degree, taken three years of experience, completed a master’s degree in Canada and is under the age of 30.
That is a cream profile. But people above 30 and above 35 are also not cream. And those who are 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23 are also not cream. These are not cream profiles. They cannot do things according to their own wishes. They will have to make compromises to get PR. They will have to face competition. They cannot do things according to their own wishes. They cannot have their own fussy nature. They cannot say, “I will not do this job,” or “I will not go to this location.” These children are not ready to move. So, in the end, neither PNP will be received, nor Express Entry, nor RCIP.
9. Why Moving to RCIP Later Is More Difficult
Some children eventually become ready and say that they will move. They understand that going to RCIP will make their PR happen. Then what happens there? When this child goes to RCIP after completing 16 months of study, what will the child have to take? In RCIP, initially, just studying made you eligible for RCIP. Just studying. But because you did not study there, your study is from Toronto or Vancouver. Now what happens? In that case, you require one year of experience, and two things have to match. One is the employer list and one is the job list.
You have to do this job under this employer. There is a list of 15–20 jobs, and you have to do any one job from those 15–20 jobs. There is a list of 20–30–50 employers, and you have to do this job under those employers. There are two types of problems. You have not stayed in RCIP. You have not lived there. It is a new place for you. You have to start from zero. What do you have to find from zero? First, you have to find a job. That job also has to match the employer because the job has to be found under that employer.
Six months can be wasted just like this. First, six months will be wasted in planning because you will tell the child to go there and say that PR will happen there. For six months after completing the study, the child remains like this, saying, “We will see, it will happen.” Six months can pass like this. For some, one year can pass. After that, if someone plans to move, spend six months in that planning. Spend six months finding this job. It will not happen that as soon as you go there, someone will welcome you and say that the job is ready for you. You will first have to understand the system there. You will have to understand the culture and system. You will have to understand the employers. Two, three or four months can go into these things. That is why moving is not easy.
Now, the child who studied inside this RCIP community had already activated RCIP because the child had studied there. And because that child has already gone through the struggle there for one year or 16 months, the child knows which employer is proper, which is bad, who has a job, who does not have a job, who will support, who will not support and who is demanding. The child knows everything. The child will find something for himself and find a proper employer because the child has gone through 16 months there.
The child will also earn enough money to cover the living expenses if the child has full-time work permission. When applying for a PG work permit, even if the child cannot earn $1,000, actually the child should come back to India. The child is not made for there because jobs are everywhere. Whatever story the child tells, jobs are everywhere. There are jobs in India as well. There are jobs in Bangladesh as well. There will be jobs in Pakistan as well. Rich people are there, here and everywhere. People make money everywhere. It is all about how much effort we are putting in and how much skill we are putting in.
So, if the child is telling this story and saying that there is no job, either the child’s skills are in a very bad condition or the child does not want to work. The child is lazy. These two things can happen. I do not understand a third reason because on a PG work permit you can work full-time. People can earn up to $1,000 even by doing Uber all day. So, if someone is telling such a story that there is still no job, there was no job before either, then the child is fooling you. There is no need to listen so much. Tell the child to come back.
You can be strict with your kid who is doing such drama. The child who has already stayed there for 16 months will be helped for the future as well because the child has worked hard there for 16 months and understood the community for 16 months. Now the child will also get a job and PNP options will also get activated because the child will have links with employers there. The child would have gone through struggles with employers, spoken to them, asked for help and done everything. Some kind of job would also have been done. Children do work. It never happens in an extreme way that there is zero job and the child cannot work even for one hour. It does not happen. It cannot happen. So, there is no need to listen to this story.
The child who has already stayed there will activate RCIP, activate PNP and get a job. Everything will be fine because the child has stayed there for 16 months. But the child who is moving later has difficulty moving in the first place. Second, the child will waste one year just in moving. After that, when the child starts the RCIP process, the child will have to take one year of experience to activate RCIP. Again, the child has spent one year in the process. This child activated RCIP just by studying for 16 months, while the other child has to take a full year of experience before RCIP is activated. There is a difference between moving to RCIP from outside and going to RCIP and studying there.
10. The Cost of Staying in the Wrong Location
Most children are afraid of whether they will get a job or not, whether they will get a job under this employer or not, whether they will get this job or not. They do not move. They do not move. Where do they spend all their time? They spend all their time in Brampton and Surrey. All the time finishes there. What happens when it finishes? The two-year study, the 16-month study plus the three-year PG work permit all finish. After that, the child does not come back. Instead of coming back, what does the child ask from you?
The child asks for another study. The child says, “Give me another study and I will arrange something for PR.” Or the child asks for LMIA. The cost of LMIA is generally $3,000 to $5,000. The cost of study is also $35,000. Whether the child asks you for LMIA money or asks you for study money, how much will your loss be? There will be a direct loss of $35,000. The child who is not going to study in RCIP will not be able to get PR from somewhere else. When PR does not happen, the child will not come back. The child will ask you for money to extend the stay.
How much money will the child ask for? $35,000, because that much money was spent when the child went to study the first time. If the child studies again, the same amount will be spent again. It is possible that even then PR may not happen. The child will ask for the same amount for LMIA and the same amount for study. This is how your loss will happen. When we discussed that if your child does not earn even one dollar and $3,000 comes out of your pocket to allow the child to stay there and give living expenses, you should take the $3,000 loss because if the child does not stay in RCIP, instead of a $3,000 loss, how much loss will the child cause? A $35,000 loss.
If you firmly tell the child to stay there and work a little and take out some of the living expenses, then which case can happen? The middle case. In this middle case, the child is taking out the living expenses. Your burden is not being created. You pushed a little, the child convinced himself a little and planned to settle there. The child is taking out his expenses. Your work is done. Just let the child take out the expenses. You pay the study money, $35,000. Then the child will not cause the $35,000 loss that was going to happen.
After some time, the child will understand because friends and other people will call and say, “You are living in Sudbury. Is there any job there? I have to move there for PR. Help me.” The child will understand that PR has to happen there. Ultimately, everyone wants PR. Everyone wants the good thing, but they do not want to work hard. You are making the child work hard from the beginning. Tell the child that this is not the time to chill and that hard work should start from the beginning so that PR can happen comfortably. For this, you also have to remain firm. The child also has to be sent firmly so that the child does not come out of RCIP. The child should complete the study there, do the job there and get PR.
11. Four Years of RCIP Before PR
After that, the child’s entire life is ahead. The child who reached Canada at the age of 18 and gets PR in four years, or whatever it takes, should get PR in four or five years. If the child gets PR in four years, then the child is 22 years old. After the age of 22, go wherever you want. You have 87, 89, 90 years to live and at 22 years of age, you have 70 years to live. There are 70 years to enjoy. Go to the USA. Take citizenship. We will send you to the USA. Send the child to Victoria, send the child to Vancouver, keep the child in Toronto, wherever the child wants to live. But until PR happens for four years, where will the child stay? The child will stay in the RCIP community. Send the child by saying this.
Both parents, father and mother, have to be firm, and the child also has to be firm. The child will cry and continue crying. We are sending money. Take $800 from us or take $800 and cover your expenses. Next month, we will again give you $800. Again the next month we will give it. Again we will give it. Let us see how long your child keeps taking it. $800 every month from you. Will the child really not work at all? Even if the child stays at home, there is no loss. This is what is being explained. Even if the child does not work for one day, there is no loss because later the child may spend $35,000 and still PR may not happen, and then the child may come back.
Do not reach such a situation. The child’s future career and life are ahead. The child may have thousands of friends, but the parent is only you. Parents have to take decisions which are right for the child, which the child cannot understand at the age of 18 or 21. You have to take these decisions and remain firm so that the child’s entire life remains settled. This is the settlement plan.
If something is still not understood, call and it will be explained again comfortably. This was made in Hindi and explained at such length so that you understand it and there is no difference between you and the child and the child cannot fool you by saying that there is no job there. If the child says that you will become troubled, tell the child that you will become troubled because you are the one paying the money. What problem does the child have? You are paying the study money. The child is not earning and paying the money. You are paying it.
You can also pay the $800 every month. Do not take this tension. And get your GIC back, all of it. After getting it back, give $800 every month. Take $800 for this month. Take $800 again for this month. Give the child the money like this. The child will understand that you are firm and will not let the child leave from there. The child will settle on his own. The child will work on his own. Jobs are there and will be available. These are big communities. Everything is available. If nothing else, the child can do Uber. By doing Uber, the child will earn money.
12. Study in RCIP From the Beginning
